Priyangi Edirisinghe — Currently a Ph.D. Student studying the population diversity of Ceratocystis causing black canker in aspen and rapid ʻōhiʻa death (ROD) in ʻōhiʻa lehua trees.
Priyangi earned her B.Sc. from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, and her M.Sc. from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Priyangi has worked on the identification and characterization of plant pathogens in tropical cropping systems, and on developing sustainable, environmentally friendly disease management strategies for their control.
