Noah studied the root pathogen Onnia tomentosa in the Stewart Lab, developing a LAMP assay — a field-deployable diagnostic tool — for identifying the pathogen. He also investigated whether Onnia tomentosa represents a species complex rather than a single species. In his free time, Noah enjoys reading, hiking with friends, and foraging. Originally from the California coast, he looked forward to learning the edible plants and fungi of Colorado during his time here.
