The Stewart Tree Pathology Laboratory studies various aspects of on forest and shade tree pathology. Our work encompasses molecular studies to applied biology.

Tree Health Outreach and Engagement

Our lab attends several local and international events where we share our expertise on tree health and education communities on how they can get become part of their forest and tree health.

We frequently take our lab on the road offer educational programs for school aged children and share how trees can get sick too.

Stopping fungal diseases during reforestation

“We’re interested in seeing if conifers from two different nurseries planted in a burned area are moving fungal pathogens with them, and, if so, how,” said Grace Ganter, a student pursuing a master’s degree in CSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences.
