Important chemical constituents can be difficult to measure, and complex analytical data can be just as challenging to interpret. We develop and refine methods to identify and, where possible, quantify molecules and elements in foods, plants, soils, and biological samples. We pair these methods with rigorous data processing and analysis workflows to produce results that our collaborators can interpret and use with confidence.

The lab is equipped with LC-QQQ, GC-MS, ICP-MS, and HPLC instrumentation, and we collaborate with the Analytical Resources Bioanalysis and Omics Core (ARC-BIO) at Colorado State University for high resolution mass spectrometry.
