We recently conducted a scoping review of equine-assisted services for people with Down Syndrome and found that most existing research focuses on gross motor benefits for children with Down Syndrome, with very little research in social-emotional-cognitive and quality-of-life benefits.

We are launching a program of research focused on developing and evaluating an equine-assisted learning program for young adults with Down Syndrome.

We are grateful for the financial support of Brett and Annette Himes in launching this new program of research!
