Eubanks - Insect Ecology Lab

Dr. Eubanks is an applied insect ecologist focused on managing the interactions of insects with plants and other animals. He has studied pests and beneficial insects in field crops, vegetables, and ornamental plants including chile peppers, sweet corn, cotton, sorghum, soybean, tomato, collards, pumpkin, cucumber, and poinsettia.

Our Research

Our lab group studies herbivores of crops (plant pests), beneficial insects (predators and pollinators), and mutualisms involving ants. Our research addresses fundamental questions in ecology (e.g., the relationship between biodiversity and interaction strength, the ecological strength of mutualisms, etc.) while also providing the means to predict the outcome of complex interactions in managed systems.
