Julia is a student in Soil and Crop Science (Sustainable Agriculture Management concentration) at Colorado State University. As part of the Deiss lab, she provides support to field and lab activities on soil nutrient and crop response studies, and has contributed to a Kernza research project as Soil and Crop Undergraduate Research Fellow. She also serves as a teaching assistant for SOCR 171: Environmental Issues in Agriculture. Julia is interested in the intersections of food security, climate resilience, Integrated Pest Management, and agricultural labor, and hopes to pursue this work internationally.
