MS/DVM student Ryne Haggard successfully defended his MS thesis Monday June 15th. His thesis involved two projects in sheep and cattle and was entitled “USE OF A LIDOCAINE IMPREGNATED BAND IMPROVED BEHAVIORAL AND PHYSIOLOGICAL INDICATORS OF PAIN DURING TAIL DOCKING IN LAMBS & EXPLORING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BIRTH WEIGHT, PAP SCORE, AND HEART SCORE IN YEARLING BEEF CATTLE AT HIGHER ALTITUDES.” As an MS/DVM student Ryne completed the coursework portion of his MS two years ago and has just finished his first year of veterinary school at CSU. Now that his MS is completed he will continue through the subsequent three years of veterinary school of obtain his DVM. Way to go Ryne!
