Cadaret - Stress Physiology Lab

Our lab focuses on how the environment we manage our gestating and neonatal animals in, impacts their progeny and subsequent generations. We collaborate across disciplines to better understand how common stressors that livestock experience in extensive and intensive management systems impact animal welfare, performance, and reproductive competency. This research is motivated by industry and aims to address common challenges by understanding mechanisms that precede between animal variation, in order to develop better selection and management strategies that improve animal productivity and producer profitability.

Our Research

See the many ways that the Cadaret Lab is improving outcomes, discovering new ways to assist animals through common production practices, and supporting animal science education in Colorado.
