Numerous university animal science programs have reported declines in extracurricular involvement without explanation. In order to begin to understand why student involvement has declined and potentially recoup involvement,  we are seeking to understand student desires, motivations, and barriers to involvement within cohorts. We are further looking into how these perceptions and their corresponding actions impact student progress, success, and persistence within the degree program.
