Originally from San Mateo, California Rachael completed a BS in Animal Sciences from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2022. During her time at CSU she coached the Academic Quadrathlon team, served as a graduate TA, mentored countless undergraduate research experiences, and completed two research projects as the lead graduate student. Her animal project investigated perinatal outcomes in lambs born from ewes fed diets simulating winter range production. She also led a pedagogy project aimed at using case based assessment to develop critical thinking and professional skills in undergraduate animal science students. Upon graduation Rachael became a research technician at the USDA ARS Meat Animal Research Center before joining the Wyoming Extension teamĀ as the 4-H youth development educator for Teton County.
