Growing up in Southeast Alaska gave me the opportunity to personally witness the profound effects of glacial recession on the local environment of my hometown over the twenty five years I lived there. This inspired me to work as an Analytical Chemist in environmental regulatory laboratories after my graduation from Colorado State University (CSU). After six years of hands-on experience in a regulatory lab, I decided to return to CSU to obtain research experience to support my application to graduate school. I currently assist the Borch group as a Lab Assistant, with a focus on supporting their PFAS projects. In my free time I collect fossils, attempt operant conditioning on my cat, and enjoy trying to write novels.
