My research takes an interdisciplinary approach to explore questions around agroecological transitions for climate resilience and community well-being. At the farm scale, I study the impact of regenerative management practices on soil health in the water-limited Great Plains and the socioecological factors associated with adoption of varied practices.
Prior to graduate school, I worked in garden-based food systems education and nonprofit leadership for nearly a decade in Vermont and Montana. In my free time I enjoy trail running, mountain biking and skiing in the mountains and tending to and enjoying the bounty of my garden with family and friends.
