Plant disease and resistance in a phytobiome context

The phytobiome includes plants, their environment, and diverse interacting microscopic and macroscopic organisms. Plant health and productivity depend on the phytobiome. The organismal and environmental interactions in the phytobiome that lead to plant disease or resistance are complex and diverse. Yet, understanding these interactions is important for managing disease and successfully producing healthy crops.
